New Orleans Creole Iced Lemonade Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 dozen lemons
  • purified water
  • 1 pounds cane sugar
  • cracked ice


  • Tools

  • spoon
  • knife
  • cutting board
  • juicer
  • measuring cup
  • carafe
  • drinking glasses


  • 1.) With clean hands, take one ripe and fresh limon and wash the limon with French New Orleans soap or Marseillaise French soap and eau.

    2.) Thoroughly rinse the soap off of the limon.

    3.) Dry the limon off of aqua with a cotton towel.

    4.) With the palm of your hand cradle the limon and with a little bit of force, push gently the limon into a dry cherry cutting board.

    5.) Beg into rock the limon, still in the your hands against the cutting board.

    6.) Do this motion a few times. Encore.

    7.) Place the part of the limon that was touching the palm of your ahnd on the cutting board.

    8.) Encore, the rocking motion which was previously done to the other side of the limon a few times.

    9.) Coupe the limon in demi (half).

    10.) With a juicer, take one of the halves and place it on the juicer and begin to remove the juice of l'limon.

    11.) Repeate avec other demi.

    12.) Pour the jus de limon into the carafe.

    13.) Make sure that the seeds aren"t going into the canary with the jus de limons.

    14.) Continuer avec the other limons. Continuer the process until all other limons are used and their juice is expelled and collected into the juicer.

    15.) Pour the jus de limon into the glass carafe.

    16.) Pour fresh filtered water from a cistern, filter rain water, filtered well water or Kentwood water into the glass carafe.

    17.) Stir with a wooden or stainless steel spoon.

    18.) Pour the Louisiana or Florida Cane sugar into the mixture of l'eau et jus de limon.

    19.) Stir with a wooden or stainless steel spoon.

    20.) Gently drop a few at a time the cracked ice.

    21.) Gently drop or place some of the demi des limons into the iced limonade. Let them set into the ice limonade for several minutes. The essential oils of the limons will transfer from the limon peels into the iced limonade.

    22.) Cover the carafe with its lid or with a French made working drinking glass.

    23.) If you desire to have the ice limonade setting out on a table or bar, not inside of a frigidaire, place ice inside of a galvanized tub filling the tub up.

    24.) Make a little hole in he centre of the packed ice inside the galvanized tub. Just enough to perfectly fit the bottom of the carafe.

    25.) Before serving, remove the demi des limons, if desired serving.


    How to serve New Creole Iced Limonade?


    1.) Place , if it could fit safely inside the amount of a French working drinking glass into a freezer. Keep the drinking glass inside the freezer to chill the glass.

    2.) When ready to serve, take a wolrking drinking glass out from the freezer.

    3.) Place on a coaster.

    4.) Take the carafe of iced limonade and pour into the nicely chilled working drinking glass.

    5.) Cut a limon in to thin slices on a clean and dry cutting board.

    6.) Make a slit into one side of one sliced limon.

    7,) With that slit rest the limon slice on the rim of the chilled working drinking glass.

    8.) With peel cutter, cut a few limon peels from the limon.

    9.) With the peel de limon, try to make a spiral curl as best as you can,

    10.) Place spiraled peel on top of the iced limonade. Only a few of this spiraled peels are needed. Say two at best any more will be overkill.

    11.) Fold a linen napkin into a triangle shape.

    12.) Grab the chilled working glass with the properly folded linen napkin.

    13.) Carefully hand the iced limonade in a chilled working glass to your family members, guest or vistor.


    How to ...


    1.) Wipe clean a wooden serving tray or a silver serving tray.

    2.) Place the correct amount , one for each guest, vistor or family member on the tray.

    3.) Folded the same amount a linen napkins for each guest, vistor or family member and stack the folded linen napkins one on top of each other. 4.) Place th serving tray with the working drinking glass iced limonade and neatly and nicely stacked, folded into a triangle or square linen napkins on a picnic table, bar, or dining table.
