What you will need
A bag of Louisiana Sweet Oranges
Gentle Soap
A few loomed handwoven Cotton towels or fresh linen napkins
Fresh linen place setting mat
Fresh Cloves
Pencil or a permanent marker
Small carving knife
Masking tape or scotch tape
Small tracing paper
A large glass or crystal vase or an large Oaxacan Black Clay bowl
Take a few sweet oranges from their packaging.
Handwash each sweet orange one at a time with gently soap such as our New Orleans Cold soap or New Orleans Wax Myrtle soap.
Rinse each washed sweet orange with cold water
Place each chosen sweet Orange onto a clean dry loom handwoven cotton towel or a clean dry linen mat, which you have prepped before hand, resting on top of a clean countertop.
Take another clean loom handwoven cotton towel and gently hand dry each sweet orange of your choice.
Take one of the Sweet oranges and with a pencil or permanent marker, draw your simplistic design on the outside of the sweet orange. Remember to space out your design. Your design will be outline or created with the fresh cloves. Space is needed to keep the beauty of your design and the shape of the sweet orange.
